Health

  • Nov. 18th, 2009 at 10:38 PM

I'm feeling cranky lately and I think the reason is because I am on a diet. I feel deprived but I know it's something that I need to do not just for the aesthetic factor but also because I am scared for my health.

A person's lifestyle affects ones health and I believe that I am one of those affected by this generation's lifestyle where junk food and fast food are preferred than home cooked meals, vegetables and complete meals. I have grown up in this environment and I am suffering from the consequences - I am fat, has a sedentary lifestyle and is getting sickly.

This is why I am in need of a diet and a change of lifestyle. I am starting it by cleansing the body with green tea (which also burns fat hehe), dieting (reducing the carbs I'm eating) and swimming (I hope to do so regularly).

I hope I will be able to achieve my personal goal of lowering my weight to my desired one.

A Japanese Experience

  • Nov. 14th, 2009 at 11:48 PM

When: November 14, 2009 (Saturday)
Where: Little Tokyo (Makati - near Makati Cinema Square)
What: November Kimeagerl food trip
Why: A Japanese experience

Kimeagerl spent the afteroon and evening at Little Tokyo for a Japanese experience. Gracie and I have been wanting to eat here for a long time and today was the day! Gerlie and I met at SM Makati roughly around 4:00 in the afternoon. This was so we could surprise Gracie with our Super Junior shirts. We then went to Ayala MRT station to meet Gracie. I was so surprised when Gracie greeted us with a "Mga walang hiya kayo! Bakit hindi niyo ako sinabihan?" (which I can't properly translate to English hehehe). Of course we couldn't tell you since it was supposed to be a gift and we wanted to surprise you. We joked around a bit until Gracie finally received her farewell gift (a Super Junior shirt and a Donghae chibi charm) from us. After changing into her new shirt, we headed out to Little Tokyo roughly around 5:00 in the afternoon.

When we reached Little Tokyo, we started to take pictures of course! We spent the first 30 minutes taking pictures at the entrance and walkway leading to the restaurants inside. We spent around 6 hours together just catching up and generally having fun while tasting the authentic Japanese dishes we wanted to try.

First up was Hana restaurant where we ate Takoyaki (as our merienda or afternoon snack). Waiting for our order was worth it since the Takoyaki was really good that we decided to have another round. One order of Takoyaki consists of 6 pieces and costs P100. We had two orders so we spent P200 in Hana. Hot tea was the beverage of choice.

The second restaurant we went to was Kagura where we tasted the Okonomi-yaki (which served as our appetizer). We really had fun here since we were able to watch how our food was prepared. We ordered the Modern Special Okonomi-yaki with noodles which consists of pork, shrimp, squid, cheese and vegetables topped with Japanese mayonnaise and looked like a stuffed pancake. This was really good! Cold tea was the beverage of choice. We spent P380 in Kagura.

The third restaurant we went to was Kikufuji where we ate our dinner dinner. We ordered a lot of dishes to share among the three of us.

We ordered the following:
1) Asupara Bacon - asparagus held together by a slice of pork (bacon) - P52 per stick
2) Enoki Bacon - mushrooms held together by a slice of pork (bacon) - P52 per stick
3) Shake Sushi - P56 per piece
4) Futo Maki - P220 per order
5) Zaru Soba - cold noodles - P190 per order
6) Gyudon - P300
7) Miso Soup - P60 each
8) Ice tea (was the beverage of choice) - P62 per glass

We spent P1520 for all these dishes. There was a lot of food (which I think was too much for only three people)! I was really full probably halfway through the meal. Of course we had a lot of pictures in this restaurant. This was where we gave Gracie the card that we made for her.

Of course, although we were all full, we could not miss out on the dessert. We went back to Hana restaurant for some shaved ice with milk. Gracie had the Ujikintoki (green tea, P90), Gerlie had strawberry (P70) and I had melon (P70). We had a taste of each of our chosen flavors before digging into each of our desserts. We spent P230 for our dessert.

All in all, the food, ambiance and service was really good in Little Tokyo. Everyone was really helpful especially in helping us choose what to order. Time flew quickly and we had to call it a night at around 10:00 in the evening. I really had a great time (I hope you guys did too!) and we had taken lots of pictures. We really missed Gracie a lot! I'm really glad that she liked our gifts for you. =)

Of course the company was really good. So, where is our next adventure? ;)

...Hmmm...

 How must I feel?

How should I feel?

Worst Day

  • Nov. 10th, 2009 at 5:02 PM

Okay...so today I woke up with a splitting headache and my stomach was still giving me problems - it wasn't upset, I'm pretty sure of that - but it hurts. I didn't want to go to work but then I had a meeting which was scheduled at 11 in the morning. So I planned on just going to work for half the day just so I could attend the meeting. Everything was going fine - I was able to start on the adjustments that I had to do and was just waiting for confirmation - but then the meeting was changed to the afternoon. Bah!My afternoon in the office was put to waste. There's really no one to blame...it's just circumstance I guess.

So I left the office after 4.5 hours staying there and when I was on the bus going home, it didn't stop where it was supposed to - so I had to walk up  very high set of stairs (it wouldn't be a problem if it were just one! No, it had to be 2!) I could feel my left leg almost cramping because of the tiredness. I had planned on going to the grocery to buy ingredients for the food I have to prepare for tomorrow but there was another problem to face! The main ingredient for the food is not available! Damn! If I was only missing one pack, I could have done something about it - but I need 2 more! I am also having trouble looking for the aluminum tray that I can use to place the pasta. I hate it!

I don't know why this is such a bad day...right now I am feeling so tired. My legs and feet hurt, as well as my head and stomach, and I am still worrying about th pasta! I'm going to go crazy!!!!

Feeling tired...

  • Nov. 5th, 2009 at 2:23 AM

Work is getting stressful for the past few days. I don't really know what the problem is.

Is it me?

Is it the work?

That is the question which I want answered.

I need to de-stress...but what can I do? When I get home, I'm tired...and the only activities that I can do is watch television and surf the net - which makes my life very sedentary.

I hope there will be chances for me to de-stress this week. I really can't wait to get together with my best friends or with EGG!

Downloads

  • Nov. 3rd, 2009 at 12:03 PM

After a three day break from downloading, I'm back! So now I am halfway into finishing my Adonis Camp doawnload! Yay!!!

There are a lot more for me to download but I don't know where to start anymore. Less sleep = more downloads. This is so true but it's all worth it!

Now the only problem I have with my downloads is that my Exploration of the Human Body still lacks subs! Waaah I really hope I can find the videos with hardsubs rather than softsubs. Need to scour the internet for this.

Halloween

  • Oct. 31st, 2009 at 7:04 PM

October 31 - the day most people know as halloween. A day for kids to go around and get candy. I like celebrating this day but I feel that I am growing old for this. My inner child yearns for it but the older me is feeling tired of it.

I went around the village tonight but most houses weren't participating in this joyous occassion. Most of the children and some children at heart were walking going around and enjoying the treats that they were given -  treats they got tired for. But this is the first time where I didn't particularly enjoy trick or treat. Maybe it's just that I feel tired or because I think that I am too old. Either way, I think I'd rather stick to giving out the candies rather than going around for it.

Tired...and excited...??

  • Oct. 23rd, 2009 at 9:26 PM

I don't know why but I have felt very very tired for the past few days. I feel that my passion for working is slowly dwindling down as well. I don't know why I feel this way. There must be some reason as to why this is happening. I hope that this will be a passing feeling and I hope to be as good as new especially now that it is approaching the month end.

In another note, I am really excited for tomorrow! 20.5 hours to go!

SuJu...again!

  • Oct. 21st, 2009 at 10:49 PM

Ok...I have been very very very active in looking for Super Junior merchandise! It's really hard!

I've never been this addicted to something!

Super Junior

  • Oct. 21st, 2009 at 2:17 AM

Ok....I haven't been this crazy about something since Prince of Tennis. My gosh! This is one of the worst obsessions I've had! I've already watched many of their videos and I feel that this is still not enough. There are still a long way to go.

I'm so addicted that I am looking for a place wherein they sell SuJu merchandise locally. I'd really like to have all their CDs as well as the DVDs. I hope I can find one soon (preferably English Subbed).

I need to learn the neorago dance! Really it's kinda hard to get actually but I'm halfway through! Hwaiting!

Sad day

  • Oct. 21st, 2009 at 2:13 AM

So, Oct 20 is a really sad day since one of my really close friends and fellow Super Junior fan has already had her last day in the company. I'll surely miss you!

LIke she said..."People come and go...nauna lang ako".

We'll see each other again soon alright?!

Tree Planting

  • Oct. 17th, 2009 at 8:30 PM

Whoo! It's the first time I went tree planting and boy was it tiring. I can't believe how tiring the trekking was!

It was tiring and memorable at the same time. I was able to plant 6 seedlings! Hahaha...although it was hard to look for more seedlings to plant since there was a lot of people. (My friends and I also named 13 of our seedlings after the Super Junior boys! - you should grow tall and healthy!) We had to cross to the next lines just to look for seedlings to plant. Tsk tsk...it was fulfilling nonetheless.

It certainly left a mark (literally and figuratively)! hahaha...hope to do it again...but with less mud! It was so slippery.

Business?

  • Nov. 13th, 2008 at 7:15 PM

Oh my. It's almost Christmas and I am hoping that people will buy my products again this year. I still don't have a job and this is the only income that I can have by the end of the year. I am really hoping that my prices aren't that high. Prices have gone up for the past month and I hope it doesn't affect my business. *sigh* I hope I could put up a site just for my products but as of now I don't have pictures yet. Oh well. I am just hoping for the best.

Friday Day and Night Out

  • Nov. 7th, 2008 at 10:27 PM

Woke up late and rushed to get ready for my interview with Monde Nissin Corporation. After the interview, I walked home (to my grandparents' house in Makati) since the interview was in 6750 building. I got ready for my afternoon out with my high school friend at around 3 in the afternoon. I didn't think I would be this tired at the end of the day but it was worth it.

My friend, her sister and I met at SM Makati near the entrance of SM Supermarket then we went around Glorietta. And I mean went around. One time we just returned to where we started (weird). Then after dropping my friend's sister off at National Bookstore, I accompanied my friend to get a Taxi to go to PowerPlant. After convincing her to stay and just talk, we ate our merienda/early dinner at Heaven and Eggs. Afterward, we went around once again until we went our separate ways to go home. After I walked home the secnd time today, I waited for my aunt since she wanted to go to SM Makati with me.

We took the car to the gate and then walked to SM Makati. We looked at clothes then as we were about to go home, we saw food being sold near the back entrance of SM so we went to take a look. We were able to get sushi, empanada and spicy squid and spicy dilis. Afterward, we walked back to the gate as the rain was starting. It was a good thing we went home at that time (Lucky!).

It was really tiring and my feet and legs still hurt. Am really sleepy too. Well, I'll leave this post and get some sleep. Until next time. Ciao!

Prince of Tennis

  • Nov. 5th, 2008 at 6:33 PM

So, with nothing to do, I am writing another journal entry (on the same day) about Prince of Tennis. Well, I've been watching it for a long time now and I am eagerly awaiting the next few OVA's to be released (and dubbed). Also, I am going to try to watch the other Tenmyu's. I kind of sopped watching when the group of Shirota Yuu graduated leaving only Aiba left as Fuji. I miss that cast (2nd cast, if I remember correctly). Anyway, I also watched the movies (Survival Mountain [is this a movie?] , Two Samurai's, Atobe's Gift) and am now looking for DVD's of the movies and the 100 song marathon.

I also heard that there will be a continuation of Prince of Tennis. I'm so excited! I think it's going to be great!

Unemployed

  • Nov. 5th, 2008 at 1:39 PM

It's been more than a month from graduation and still I have no job. I am getting really frustrated and bored at home. Not to mention that I had an argument with my mom and we haven't been speaking for six days. Grr...I wanna get out of the house and earn already so I don't need to keep leeching off my parents. *sigh* I just hope this coming Christmas, I have a lot of orders that I will be busy enough to forget that I don't have a job yet.
